About the Coach

jpk-amarilloJames King is the author of Bill Warrington’s Last Chance, published by Viking/Penguin. It was the Grand Prize Winner of  the 2009 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award, a finalist for the Ohioana Book award, and has  been optioned for film by Josephson Entertainment.

King has been a full-time freelance writer for nearly 30 years. His publishing credits include books, white papers, and a wide variety of business and general periodicals. He was the ghost writer for High Performance Sales Organizations, published by Irwin Publishing. He also coauthored, with Patrick T. Keane, Failing in the Factory, published by Brown House Communications. Newspapers and trade journal credits include The Chicago Tribune, New York Daily News, San Francisco Sunday Examiner and Chronicle, and Training and Development Journal.

King is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in American Studies. He earned his M.A. in Writing from Manhattanville College. booksigning3
